Anxiety and Fear

AN ENERGETIC WAY OF LOOKING AT ANXIETY/FEAR:

We have been conditioned and were taught that fear is a limiting emotion that we have to eradicate. What is really being referred to is the unconscious beliefs that are energized by fear. However, resisting fear only makes it LARGER! When we inhibit fear and try to suppress or repress it, the energy turns inward and becomes anxiety or panic. Instead, discern what limiting belief (old pattern) is at work and allow the energy that fear generates to shift the BELIEF.

ANXIETY The underlying emotion of anxiety is Fear. Anxiety is a useful emotion. According to Dr. Synthia Andrews, The Path of Emotions, anxiety establishes congruence. It warns us to take care and things are not what they seem. However, chronic anxiety keeps us in either a hyper-vigilant state or a state of dread. The essence of anxiety is fear of the unknown combined with fear of the past impacting the future, states Dr. Andrews.

A past threat that is no longer a threat but keeps us responding in the same pattern over and over; yet expecting different results or outcomes becomes fear and anxiety at its best. Where the mind goes energy flows! Energy follows the pathway that is most used/traveled. Typically, one way to reroute an energy pattern that is no longer useful that is causing us to live in fear, is to shift our perspective and live in the present.

At times our minds want to create fear where there is none due past trauma. This has little to do with intuition or discernment. We find we are in a situation, where there is the "unknown" or the "what if" and respond not from the information that is present but from the fear or trauma from the past. Sometimes we even create the fear in our mind so vividly of the danger and trauma that will surely ensue that the fear will manifest! Example: You are driving on road in the dark and your fear is that on this road that everyone in town has had an encounter with a deer jumping in front of their car. You, yourself did see a deer on this very road 10 years ago right at this same time and he did run out in front of you and you had to brake and swerve! So you slow down to a good 15 miles per hour, you look in your rearview to thank God there is no one following too close because then you are sure to get hit from behind too if you have to stop suddenly. You look up in the road and you frantically brake because you saw a shadow on the right side. You know for sure there is a deer about to pounce and you freeze. You are sweating and your shoulders are over your ears with tension. You continue to wait for a good 5 minutes for the deer to emerge and you even see rustling and movement along the shadowy roadside. However, nothing is there and you must get the courage to continue and somehow you do. Just to pull around the next bend in the road to repeat the same scenario with the same outcome! As you pull in the driveway, you are in full blown panic attack, elevated heart rate, blood pressure through the roof, dizzy and the only thing you think of is "why me?" Another perspective would be to be aware that there are deer on this road, keep traveling at a normal speed and be alert, ask your guides and your Source for safe travel, and continue in spite of fear. You may have an elevated heart rate when you get home but there won't be a potential ER visit.

Fear/anxiety of the future: I like to call this "What if" and also dread. The "what if" and dread of the future can cause our hearts to race and shortness of breath, which takes our power. We are left without energy to move forward physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually. Anxiety is linked to increase in heart disease, per Johns Hopkins Medical Heart & Vascular Institute. This is validated by our energy centers in Energy Medicine. The chest (heart and solar plexus chakras) is the most affected by anxiety. Muscle tension is increased and we tend to physically curl protectively over these areas (fetal position) causing restriction in breathing. When we suppress anxiety and accommodate incongruence, it slowly eats away at confidence and creates health issues. (The Path of Emotions, Dr. Synthia Andrews). The Heart Math Institute has very useful tools on their website as well.

Here are some things that we can do to assist us: I like to call this tools for our toolbox...

  1. In addition to the above, we can gently place our hands on our heart and solar plexus chakras and breathe deeply into these areas giving them special attention with love for at least 10 minutes.

  2. Tapping the heart area and rocking back and forth can help alleviate the built-up tension in the heart area.

  3. Visualize a river that is flowing steadily and breathe into the slow moving current of the water, eventually becoming the water. This helps promote flow in our on bodies.

  4. Ask questions such as, Do I need a stronger connection to the family and friends surrounding me currently? Do I know who my core self is? What part of myself am I hiding? What needs to be honored in me? Am I functioning from past traumas? Do I need to speak my truth? What do I think will happen if I face my fears? Am I in the present moment making decisions?

  5. Start your day with a balancing exercise such as Self Chakra Connection or meditation. This must be done daily.

  6. Join a group that promotes wellbeing and true *upliftment, not a group that wants to control or manipulate with questionable agendas.

  7. Cultivate discernment (the truth, inner knowing without judgment) and your own innate intuition.

  8. Healing Touch Energy Therapy or an energy modality and practitioner that resonates with you will assist in re-patterning!

Take action! We need to address our fear and anxieties and re-repattern/reprogram our body-mind now! If not now, when??? As an Energy Practitioner that has re-patterned and reprogrammed this particular emotion in my own self, I understand the issues that fear and anxiety have and know anxiety/fear needs to be addressed very individually. There is no blanket cure for any dis-ease. What we (practitioner and client) can do with energy is use the body's cells that have an innate ability to repair and regenerate to facilitate the healing process by reorienting the spirit to better heal the body. *This is how you know if a group you join or an individual practitioner is working from a place of love.

Real Upliftment from a group or individual is:

  • Followed by peaceful productive action and improved effectiveness in life.

  • Does not require continued inputs of energy to keep it alive. It will rise and fall as all experiences do, but it will never be lost.

  • Leaves us more attuned to the beauty of the world and divinity of life, even though nothing in our circumstances has changed.

  • Increases tolerance and love of others.

  • Inclusive not exclusive!!!!!
