Prayer for Adult Children
I accept that my child has her own course to take that is separate from mine.
I accept that my child has choices she is making.
I accept those choices even if I disagree or believe I see the outcome of those choices already.
I accept my child is separate from me and is on her path chosen by her.
I release my child from the need to rely on my judgments or to do the things I think she should so that she may write her own story according to her heart and according to the soft, magical whispers she hears in her own ears.
I renounce the role of savior, of being the one who unites or fulfills the expectations of others especially my child.
My reasonable help and eternal love I give freely.
